What Cancer Cannot Do
49We all know or have heard how devastating the news of cancer can be. We all know how this disease can ravage the body and sometimes even the mind. There are so many things that cancer can do to change our lives and the lives of our loved ones, but, let's talk about what cancer cannot do.
Cancer cannot squelch your love for someone; it can only deepen that love. It gives cause for you to reflect and truly experience the joys of life and happiness of sharing your life with someone you truly love. No one, not even cancer, can take that feeling away from you.
The disease can kill the cells in your body, but it cannot kill a friendship. This is when you really experience friendships. You may even find a friend in someone you never ever expected. You may be quit surprised at the feeling of empowerment you have from being part of a friendship.
Cancer cannot squelch these feelings. Remember, just for day, I will look on the bright side.

Great hub - thought provoking and true.
I lost an aunt to cancer in August 2000 and a conversation with her daughter was the inspiration for one of my hubs.
Nobody can possibly know how long we are here for - even those without cancer, obviously - so make the most of every day as best you can and appreciate those you love and who love you :)
